Letraset, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and PageMaker
1985-2024

My first job after university was Graphic Designer for a small business in Johannesburg. Most of the work involved hand-placing Letraset to make simple metal signs that I'd designed. I continued to employ this skill as a volunteer for a Fund for a Free South Africa (1985-1992) for which I designed postcards, newsletters and posters for events and exhibitions. I began using a Mac in 1985, and learned Adobe Photoshop in 1991. From 1998 to 2001, I was an employee of the University of New Mexico. While there, I took Continuing Education courses in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and PageMaker. With these new skills I designed posters, first for scientists at the Albuquerque High Performance Computing Center; and later, for the Art Technology Center and the Arts of the Americas Institute. I continued designing logos, brochures, and websites for New Radio and Performing Arts, Inc. (2002-2016) and, since, for my personal artwork, including Death.
